Emirates NBD achieves ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification
Emirates NBD, the leading bank in the region has been awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Management System certification by the British Standards Institution (BSI), a leading global provider of management systems assessment and certification solutions.
The Bank received the certification at a ceremony attended by HE Guy Warrington, British Consul General in Dubai and representatives of the BSI and members of the management of Emirates NBD's Group IT Department.
The ISO 9001 is the world's most established quality framework, used by more than 750,000 organisations in 161 countries, and sets the standard for quality management systems.
Abdulla Qassem, Group Chief Operating Officer, Emirates NBD said: "The ISO 9001 certification will contribute in enhancing the management, development, implementation and maintenance of information technology at Emirates NBD.
"Every member of the Emirates NBD's IT department has made a concerted effort to gain this certification and the external validation of this achievement marks a milestone in our roadmap to improve efficiency, effectiveness and deliver superior customer service. "We now have a common set of defined processes and controls within the Quality Management framework for the delivery of IT services, with a focus on how to provide high quality customer service within the bank," said Mr. Qassem.
